Following the Project Runway finale, Lifetime premiered this new show, all about creating accessories.
Obviously, this show peaked my interest.
Hosted by Molly Sims and mentor Eva Jeanbart-Lorenzotti, It was definitely missing some of the Project Runway charm, mainly Tim Gunn’s quirky support and Heidi Klum’s “Al Vida Zein.” But, it’s still new and needs to gain it’s own identity a bit. If it’s given the chance, of course. Alongside Molly Sims are judges Kenneth Cole and Ariel Foxman, and last week’s guest judge was Debra Messing. I was a bit surprised at some of the judging, and I’m thinking Kenneth Cole might be the voice of reason in the group. But, only time will tell.
On the bright side, it looks like next week, there’s some shoe-making involved! Can’t wait to see what they make.
This weekend I headed over to Old Navy to check out all of their changes and improvements, and I must say, I was definitely impressed. The store itself was much easier to navigate, and I was happy to see them add quick change stations for those of us who don’t want to wait in those long fitting room lines. While browsing, I got to catch a glimpse of their Fall shoe selection, and found some nice shoes.
I have to be honest, I wouldn’t wear these if someone gave them to me for free. There’s just so many buckles and accents. Too overdone. Sadly, this is on my WORST list. Sorry Charlotte Russe, I guess you can’t win them all…
To bring in this wonderful Boot Season, let’s see what else Payless has.
As always, they do not disappoint!
Let’s start with a boot I almost bought today. If I hadn’t found a similar pair at Charlotte Russe just a few weeks earlier, these would have been mine tonight!
Tried these on today at the store, and boy are the comfy. fit really well, and the defined zipper and buckle make this a killer boot. Definitely a great addition to any girl’s wardrobe.
These runway-inspires beauties are definitely going to turn some heads. The textured fabric and modern square toe help to make this shoe one of a kind. Definitely thinking this is a FAV.
These are so so so cute. I absolutely love these, and think everybody else needs to love these too. Love the peep-toe, love the cut-outs, love the blue. Also available in Berry, Split-Pea, and Black, but I really think Sapphire is the way to go.
Even with as busy as I’ve been, I just couldn’t walk away from this blog. I find that people are still asking me about the best deals on shoes and where to find them, so I have to keep this updated for everyone to see!
And besides, this just gives me an added excuse to buy more shoes! (for rating purposes, of course)
So, time to get back into the deals!
As you know, it’s October, which means… BOOT SEASON! In my opinion, boots and jackets are really the only good thing about the cold weather.
I actually just picked up these babies from Payless:
Every girl needs a good slouch boot, and for $29.99, you really can’t beat it! I’ve only worn them for a little bit so far, but they seem super comfortable. I’ll be sure to report back with more info once I’ve broken them in!
I absolutely LOVE this shoe. The color and construction are great, and the faux leather is beautifully accented by the gold. Love the zipper! Christian Siriano never disappoints!
Just saw this in my inbox and figured I should share. Be sure to get to DSW’s website to get $20.11 off your purchase of $99 or more. Remember, it’s online only and you have to enter in NEWYR as your offer code once you check out!
