This Weekend’s Purchases

This was a great weekend for me. I bought 5 pairs of shoes!! Some of these will be familiar to you from recent posts…

Saturday I went to DSW to help a friend pick out some shoes. Naturally I left with 3 pairs.

Rampage Nicki Fashion Pump

$29.99

Steve Madden Alisha Pump

$59.99

Madden Girl Baallet Zippered Ruffle Pump

$39.99

I’ve already worn the Rampage flowered pumps today while shopping for 3 hours with no problems. They are super comfortable!

While at the mall today I picked up 2 pairs of shoes I’ve had my eye on from Payless, finally!

Lela Rose for Payless

Bow Fashion Pump

$34.99

Christian Siriano for Payless

Coast Printed Satin Pump

$34.99

I’m so excited about all of these that I don’t know which ones to wear tomorrow!!

Do You ShoeDazzle?

So I just found out about ShoeDazzle at work yesterday. Basically, you subscribe through their website and describe your style to them. It costs $40 a month and they send you a pair of shoes each month TO KEEP according to your specifications. If you don’t see any shoes you like, you can skip a month and get two for the following month. I’m just now about to try it out, so I’ll be sure to update when I get my first pair!

Here’s the website:

http://www.shoedazzle.com/

These are some of the shoes you can get. All for $40!

What are your thoughts?

Still Waiting on Christian Siriano for Payless…

Well Payless.com has FINALLY got SOMETHING on their website from Christian Siriano. But, it’s not much 😦

This picture gets me all excited!

But then, I click on the link…and that’s actually the only shoe of his that is for sale.

Christian Siriano for Payless Slither Boot

$49.99

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great bootie, but if you recall from an older post of mine, here’s what we’re waiting for:

I really want the blue pumps!!!

And is it weird that I like the pumps with the spikes?

I guess we’ll just have to keep waiting…

Completing the Look…

This is a continuation of the Emma Stone/Zombieland post…

Of course I had to get the jacket!!!

I also wanted something reasonable. I don’t have a lot of money to spend, so I did some research. Surprisingly my search ended at Express of all places! I found this great faux leather jacket that was tough but cute at the same time:

expressfrontexpressback

I actually removed the belt to make it look a little less cute. This jacket was originally $98.00, but I was lucky enough to catch a 30% Off Storewide Clearance and snatched this jacket for $60.00!!!

And, I know some of you were wondering about the boots I got from Charlotte Russe:

Well I LOVE THEM! They are SO comfortable and jazz up any outfit. I hope Charlotte Russe gets some more in, because I highly recommend them! Let me know if you have found any other bargain boots that turned out surprisingly well!

So, to complete this look, I HAD to get some V-Neck t-shirts…

Which fortunately Forever 21 also had SUPER CHEAP!

I got these in pretty much every color (including the heathered and solid colors) all for $3.50-$4.50!

While I was in Forever 21, I found another great jacket that I just couldn’t pass up. And fortunately I have a pair of brown leather boots with a chunky heel that go absolutely great with it.

I got this awesome faux leather jacket for $34.80!

That’s TWO jackets for UNDER $100!!!

I am looking forward to wearing these all winter!

Emma Stone’s Boots in Zombieland

Hi everyone!! It’s been awhile but I just HAD to talk about how amazing Emma Stone’s boots are in Zombieland!! I just saw the movie yesterday and loved it, and all day today all I can think about is how much I WANT THOSE BOOTS!!!

Zombieland-boots

Sooo….here’s the hunt for an afforable pair for myself 🙂

Madden Girl Ivorry Wedge Boot 5995 DSW

Now these are better…

Crinkle Flat Boots

found at Charlotte Russe for $34.99

I think I like these the best!!

What do you think? Let me know!!

UPDATE

So I was just informed by a reader that Charlotte Russe has sold out of the Crinkle Flat Boots as of today. Fortunately I ordered my pair last night (my size was the only one left) and I am anxiously waiting their arrival at my doorstep!!! But for those of you who are still looking for that great ‘Wichita’ boot, I’ve got some more additions…

I’ll start off with the more expensive ones and work my way down to a more affordable price range…

Unisa Riri Boot

found at Piperlime.com for $99

It’s ok…but I’m not excited.

Aerosoles Ride Line
found at Piperlime.com for $89
I must say I’m very impressed with Aerosoles…didn’t think they had it in them to make a boot like this! It definitely has more hardware than Emma Stone’s but they’re still a very close match.

Chaps Caleigh Tall Boots, Kohls
originally $99.99, ON SALE FOR $69.99
Now these are a good match! A litte more expensive than the ones at Charlotte Russe, but I think it’s still a pretty good deal!!
So now I start the hunt for a great jacket….

I think my Halloween costume is covered this year 🙂

Project Runway Season 7 Casting

Are you an aspiring fashion designer? Do you think you have what it takes for Project Runway? If so, be sure to go to mylifetime.com and apply!

Check out the link below:

I can’t even wait for Season 6 to come out this summer!! I was pretty disappointed with the talent on Season 5, and don’t even get me started on how annoying Kenley was….Of course in the end, Leanne won, and she was my favorite, so all was good again 🙂

What are you most looking forward to for the next season of Project Runway?

What would you like to see from this one?

A History of Thigh High Boots

I found this great little slideshow on a history of thigh high boots on The Cut: New York Magazine’s Fashion Blog, and I just had to share it. It’s really great!

Anne Hathaway in her full length Chanel boots in The Devil Wears Prada, 2006

–Can I just interject by saying how much I love this movie!?!! I have watched The Devil Wears Prada a countless amount of times and it really never gets old. I guess I can relate to it a bit too, the whole transformation into the world of fashion, wanting to work for a magazine bit…sigh…and this movie really made me love Anne Hathaway too. Shes really a fantastic actress…anyway, back to the list!

Running in Heels

Finally another fashion-related reality show to get us through those months without Project Runway!!!

runninginheels

Running in Heels is a reality show premiering March 1 on the Style Network, and it’s all about the magazine Marie Claire and three interns there who all happen to live together. In Soho. It’s apparently supposed to be in a documentary-style show, which should be interesting. It will also have tons of celebrity appearances including Heidi Klum, Nina Garcia, and Molly Sims.

Should be worthwhile!!!

FREAKIN FIERCE SHOES FROM CHRISTIAN SIRIANO!

Anyone who is a fan of Project Runway knows exactly what I’m talking about with this post! Even if you weren’t too happy about Christian Siriano becoming the winner of season 4 (personally I wanted Jillian to win) you have to admit that Christian was indeed ‘fierce.’ And now, his line of shoes for Payless are finally being debuted for all of us to see, and they are exactly what he always says: FIERCE!

Take a look

(thanks to NYMag for the pics!)

sirianoshoes

Yes…these babies are for PAYLESS. I couldn’t believe it either, and let me tell you I will be buying some of these when they hit the stores. Apparently Christian’s line will be in the $25-$45 range which is CRAZY AFFORDABLE for us not-so-rich people!!!

This line is inspired by the ancient Egyptians, and the blue print is actually supposed to resemble heiroglyphics. I have to admit I absolutely love those blue shoes too!!! So keep an eye on these, as they will be out this coming fall!!!!
